A little bit about myself 👻

Hi! I'm Rachel, an emerging user experience designer with a background in computer science 💻. Currently a master student in University of Toronto with a concentration in UX design, with a keen interest in interaction and visual design.

Sometimes I'm a PERFECTIONISM, I care about design details, and often spend much time on working on those details.

In the future, I aspire to empower communities through design by empathizing with users and simplifying complex problems through storytelling.

Why UX?

The shift in my career goal happened when I was working on a course project and saw how design thinking can solve real-world challenges.

In my journey in design, I had chances to work in a start-up environment to develop excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

I enjoy the interactions with real users during the user research and evaluation phases, and I'm familiar with creating prototypes using various software tools.

My Value

Passion is Everything 💪

I'm so glad to be in the UX industry and surrounded by motivated people who enjoy what they do. I really enjoyed it when I see how people can really benefit from this by making their life more enjoyable

Creative Driven 🎨

Through my experience of programming and interests in all forms of arts, I've learned to think creatively but also logically. I believe UX designer is a perfect union between creativity and logical thinking

Learn and Be Curious 🧠

Solving problem for people in real life is what UX designer is born to do. But first, being curious allows me to discover problems! I am always looking at ways to challenge and improve myself by reading and practicing design skills.
